In basing its resolution in support of animal agriculture on economics, the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce pledged not only to fight to protect conventional, humane livestock production, but also to fight for the welfare of Nebraskans.
Our state’s economy, after all, is built on agriculture, so any assault on farmers and ranchers is a strike against the welfare of Nebraskans. Crops and livestock are the raw materials that form the foundation of our state. As such, they create jobs, support main streets, and maintain schools, roads and services.
